Paul Edward Shoop

ELIZABETHVILLE - Paul Edward Shoop, age 82, of Pine Avenue, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 14, 1939 in Jackson Twp., PA the son of [the late] Clarence and Mildred (Weaver) Shoop.
He was a US Army Veteran and very proud of his service to his country.
He was a retired machinist and had worked in the past for the former TRW / Chromaloy Company and Brubaker Tool Co.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #404 Elizabethville, where he helped maintain the armory.
Paul enjoyed traveling to national parks, hunting, trapping and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Carol (Westover) Shoop, at home, and a daughter, Kathlynn Schwartz, Washington Twp, PA; Brothers, Clifford Shoop, Paxinos and Cletus Shoop, Tower City; Grandchildren, Morgan Cook, Lykens PA, Justin Shoop, Pine Grove PA, Jacey Herb, Florida, Alyssa Schwartz, Hummelstown PA and Spencer Schwartz Elizabethville PA and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his children, Kevin Shoop, and Justine Shoop; Sister, Cynthia Kasper; Granddaughter, Nichole Shoop, and half-brother, Larry J. Klinger.
There will be a graveside memorial service on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Fairview Enders Cemetery, Halifax at 11 AM. Military Honors will follow the service.
