Paul Joseph Simon

I was visiting the World Trade memorial for the first time ever on the 31st of March and took a picture of Mr Simon´s name because a lovely white rose adorned it. I think it means that it was his birthday. Nevertheless, it made me want to look more into who he was as a person. Because I think it´s important to remember that all of these names were actual people

Paul, I think about you and Shelley often, and the world is diminished by your absence. I will always remember and cherish our times together at Dishner's in South Fallsburgh, fishing, your ham radio and passing the summers. We were young teenagers, but it was a time of discovery, and those days will always be like yesterday.

Prayers for Paul & his family...yet another year!!

Mrs. Simon...thought you may receive comfort in knowing those of us who didn't know your husband keep him in our prayers...that tragic day years ago inspired me to select a name of one of the victims I could keep in my prayers each day...I picked your husband, as my son's name is also Paul Joseph...please know I pray for him and those he left behind...may you find comfort in prayer and strength to face each new day knowing he is remembered in my prayers...Sincerely, Barbara Fielding Athens, Maine

On Sunday 9-11-2011 my husband and I attended a memorial to the firemen, policemen and civilian victims of 9/11. We had flags for all the victims of that tragic day. Everyone who attended picked a flag with a name we pick pauls. We did not know him but he's a hero to america. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families who lost love ones that day.

My wife and I attended the San Francisco Giants game on 9/11/11 There was a tribute to 9/11 victims and the Giants randomly handed out cards of those lost with printed flags on the reverse side. We received Paul's name. We didn't know Paul but we thought of him on this day.

I worked with Paul at Citi Cards in the late 90's. I didn't know him well, but I knew him well enough to know that he was a good man. I often think about Paul and all of the 9/11 victims.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

It was easy to make Paul laugh. I guess it was because he loved to laugh. I can't remember a single

time seeing him at a family function

when we didn't laugh at everything!

I will miss his laugh, his smile and

his crazy sense of humor. So many

people will miss Paul for many reasons, I will miss the LAUGHTER,

but I will not stop laughing, and

seeing the humor in everyone and every day things. These are the things that made Paul laugh. To lose this is to let the enemy win.

Paul, I will not let that happen!

i wanted the family and friends of Mr. Paul J. Simon to know that i hav chosen him to remember in a quilt block for the "united in memory" quilt. i would appreciate it anyone could send me a little more information on this gentleman so i can do a block worthy of the man. his likes and interests if possible. i wish at this time to offer my sincerest condolences to all who knew and loved this man. sincerly, chris hill

Paul was a real friend to me when I worked in New York some years ago. He was one of the most genuine and helpful people I have known. I know that many people feel a sense of great loss now that he is gone.

On a beautiful September morning we kissed and said 'see you later'...But there was no later for us. Our lives were shattered and our dreams gone forever.

Paul, I miss your touch, your laugh, your smile and even your pout. I miss the good times and the bad times, but most of all...I miss my husband, my best friend, my everything.

Paul, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You will be a part of me forever...'Until The Twelfth Of Never'.

Oh the fun we had...I treasured your friendship and I miss your smile. Summer will never be the same without you! You are forever in my heart.
