Dr. Stec was such a a nice man and even better doctor. I met him at Caesar's Restaurant and soccer. Maybe his grandkids were playing. My African Parrot bit me on the lower lip and I pulled away so my lower lip was stuck to my chin. I went to Olympia Fields or whatever name they were going by. Some ER doctor was going to stitch it and like an angel, Paul walked by. I hollered Paul. He said what happened? I told him and he told the young doctor to get the cat gut not the nylon. That doctor proceeded to tell him they didn't have it. Paul said in that room third drawer on left. Paul went and got it. He stitched me up. I told him my son was getting married in two days. He said stop by his office in morning. He took the outside stitches out and even gave me a tube of lipstick that would cover nicely. Great, compassionate man. I just found out he passed away.

Both myself and my friend Evelyn Benbenek knew Paul from the Polish dances he would bring him Mom to before she passed. He was also a musician in his very early years and played with Bruce Carosa. He was always a very cheerful person and will be missed.
