February 5, 1932 - March 16, 2025

Paul A. Steinbrink, 93, of Kearney died March 16, 2025, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, March 21, 2025, at St. George Orthodox Christian Church in Kearney with Fr. Christopher Morris officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, March 20, 2025, at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services, and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:00 pm, following visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. George Orthodox Christian Church or Yanney Heritage Park Foundation. Visit www.hlmkfuneral.com to leave a tribute or message of condolence. Paul was born February 5, 1932, in Elwood, Nebraska to George and Ethel (Taylor) Steinbrink. He grew up in Loomis and graduated from Loomis High School in 1950. He went to Kearney State College until he joined the Army in 1955 and served until 1957. Following his discharge, he moved to Denver and worked at the Martin Missile Plant.

Paul married Minnette Yanney on August 31, 1958, in Kearney. They moved to Kearney in 1959. Paul worked at Tractor Supply Company, sold insurance, and worked for the state of Nebraska in traffic control, and then worked maintenance at apartment complexes in Kearney until retiring in 1997. When asked what he did most of his life, Paul's answer was "What Do You Need Done!"

Paul enjoyed playing cards, pegs & jokers, RV camping, traveling, and raising and selling vegetables in Kearney. He also took great pride in his outdoor Christmas lights and display. He won the Christmas Lighting contest in Kearney several times.

Paul is survived by his sons, Paul II "Rocky" and Dione Steinbrink of Kearney, NE, Steve and Linda Steinbrink of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Brock and Sara Steinbrink of Kearney, NE, Nicholas and Amanda Steinbrink of Omaha, NE, Roxanne and Paul Knutson of Seward, NE, Kimberley and Chad Palmer of Omaha, NE; ten great grandchildren; brother in law, Michael and Gail Yanney of Omaha, NE; special friend, Bonnie Hall of Kearney, NE; numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
