STEWART – Paul Wesley Stewart, Sr., age 72 of Dacula, GA, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with Pastor Bryan Johnson officiating.
Paul was a loving husband, devoted and caring father and papa. His brothers and sisters were very near and dear to him. Paul loved his family and always put their needs and wishes first.
For many years Paul worked as a plumber building a company that would provide quality work and a good life for the family. After retiring, he would spend lots of time at his cabin in the mountains. His dream was to live there full time in the near future.
Paul loved fast pitch softball. Through the years he coached many teams and touched the lives of countless people. Coach Paul was always willing to help any player improve her game. His legacy will live on in the softball world.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edwards Stewart and Evelyn Nichols Sheppard.; sisters Debbie Wilson and Sharon Holder. Paul is survived by his wife of 38 years, Terry Jo (Dunagan) Stewart; sons and daughters-in-law, Wes & Melinda Stewart; Clint & Maria Stewart; son, Matthew Stewart; daughter, Bobbi Stewart; daughter and significant other, Dixie Stewart & Craig Henry; daughter, Lyric Stewart; grandchildren, Dawson, Riley, Cody, Hunter, Austin, Cheyenne, Layla, Liam, Gabe, Henry, and Charlie, great grandchildren, Elsa and Sawyer, brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Deborah Stewart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa & Steve Hutto, Elaine & Nate Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, James & Charlene Sheppard; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. 770.962.3100.
