As a Minnehaha student, I attended almost every Boundary Waters trip with "Rabbi" that I could, in addition to taking his Bible classes. Rabbi had a way of making ever student and camper feel loved and valued, no matter what their background or abilities. He truly loved people. His life and legacy is an inspiration to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. My sincere sympathies and prayers to his wife and family.

I super enjoyed conversing with 'Rabbi' in Bible class in 1971...Rabbi told me back then St. Paul was super cool. For many years I wondered why until this eternal 'truth' came my way years ago:

St. Paul spoke of being `...caught up to the 3rd heaven..." in 2:12 Corinthians, yet the Nag Hammadi Library has St. Paul going from the 3rd heaven to the 10th heaven escorted by Jesus in a 1900 year old buried now transliterated tract found in Egypt 1945!

Later I 'coincidentally' ran into Rabbi RIGHT after my beloved uncle blew his brains out with a shotgun in Wyoming & I had just received a phone call from my brother confirming that lethal fact in our local Costco parking lot just where Rabbi happened to be...

'Coincidence'?

No. I tearfully hugged Rabbi then & still inwardly for he is such an AWESOME & eternal Soul!

May the Blessing Be!

I had the joy of taking a philosophy class from Rabbi Swanon at Minnehaha. I would have taken any class he taught.

Paul was a loving man who brought so much joy to Janice and her family. He enjoyed meeting Liv, 8 months, who is Janice´s great grandchild. Paul touched the hearts of many people. I will see you again.
