Paul Symes Obituary
Paul attended Wichita West High School and junior college in Arkansas City, KS. He graduated from Wichita State University in 1964.
Paul and his loving wife Lynda were married in 1962 and lived in Duncanville, Tx before moving to Wichita in 1964. Paul enlisted in the Army National Guard and served for 9 years as a signalman.
Paul worked for Phillips Pipeline Company, taught Industrial Arts at Horace Mann School, Wichita, KS before going to work for Cessna in Wichita. He then worked as a Facilities Planner for Boeing in Wichita, KS. He retired in 2004.
Paul loved fishing, camping, hunting, flying, scuba diving, and sailing.
God blessed the love of Paul and Lynda with daughters Leah and Jennifer and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He never let an opportunity pass to tell his family that they were the most important thing in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Elizebeth Hope Donley.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Lynda of 63 years; daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Lette and Leah (Mark) Donley; grandchildren, Ben (Summer) Lette, Emily Lette, Aaron Lette, Justin (Shannon) Donley, and Michelle (Andrew) North; great-grandchildren, Riley, Harper, Connor, Quinn, Isaac, and one on the way; his very best friend, Randy Parker; and his faithful companion, Jake the Golden Retriever.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary - Mulvane. Service: Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Udall., 207 E Lewis St, Udall, KS 67146.
