It's not my first memory, but he sat behind me in almost all of our high school classes because of our last names: mine starting with a W and his V.

Paul and I taught back in 80s at Radix Elementary and then reconnected at Williamstown Middle School later in our careers. I enjoyed talking with him because he always had a calm demeanor and was full of up to date stories. He frequently told me of his involvement in the church and kept me up on the latest union news.
I last saw Paul at a retirement dinner in December 2022 and spent most of the event at our table talking and laughing about the good old days.
Knowing Paul as a colleague and wonderful man, I´m deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I hope Karen and his children all "feel" my prayers and find memories that will bring a smile to their faces soon. The world will have a hole in it where Paul once stood and nothing will be able to fill it quite the way he did.

When I was younger, I wanted to play baseball on the boys team, he advocated for me and even let me pitch a few games, he was an awesome coach, teacher and a friend. Condolences for the family, he was truly a leader and a great friend

Frank Neumann, Fox Hollow West Homeowner's Association: I considered Paul a friend. Paul was very active, not only with the FHW HOA, but also very active in the community. He kept us all informed. He will be sorely missed.
