Paul Ernest Walters

I worked with Ernie when he was a vice principal at Marion High. He was a very capable educator with a wide range of talents and a keen intellect. I had lost tract of Ernie over the years, and I am quite sorry to hear of his passing. I remember he once interviewed for the job of athletic director for Horry County Schools. He would have been an excellent choice.

Mr. Walters was my vice principal at Marion High. He was one of my favorites. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. He has made a lasting impression in my life. He will be dearly missed.

So so sorry that Ernie has passed away! We played a great deal of tennis together winning several state titles!!! He will be missed by all !! Roger Bryan

Like Don Bratton, I first met Ernie in 7th grade and we became good buddies through the rest of our high school years, and I actually worked for his dad one summer during college. I remember Ernie as a very dedicated wrestler, a good student, and an always smiling and happy guy. Rest in peace old friend.

Ernie and I became friends in 7th grade. We were roommates at Shippensburg. We played baseball together in HS and one year together at Ship. We visited him in N Myrtle and even played some tennis. Time and distance separated us over the years, but our times together often "are and always will be" with me. Till we meet again. RIP bud. Don "Bones"Bratton
