The loving husband of the late Joyce Walukonis (nee Zerbst); cherished father of Sue (Richard) Gil and the late Paul Michael Walukonis and also the late Thomas Joseph Walukonis; treasured PaPa of Meg (Nick) Kocisak, Melanie Walukonis, Macey Walukonis, Ashley Gil and Jonathon Gil; loving GG Pa of Addy Nguyen-Gil; dear father-in-law of Tina Henderson. Paul was also preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Walukonis (nee Rimkus).
Paul enjoyed a life of travel and being outside, whether it was hiking in a state park, floating on the river or golfing. He was a devout Catholic, attending Holy Family and St. Louis University High in south city. Most important to Paul was his time spent with family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Dardenne Prairie Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the start of Mass. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in
Affton, MO. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the
American Heart Association.
