Paul "Yeb" Watral

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Paul John Watral, age 82, who unexpectedly passed away on June 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A resilient man, he had a deep respect for nature and found true satisfaction in honest work and being a good provider. He believed in the commitment of a simple handshake and earned his success through a lifetime of hard work.
Known affectionately as "Yeb" to many, he had a remarkable sense of humor and a gift for turning everyday moments into treasured memories through his nicknames, familiar sayings, and intentional spin on words. From "Harriett" and "Rendercilla" for his wife, Kathy, to his habitual reminder to "lock your doors" at every departure, and his reliable advice of "slow and steady wins the race", Yeb was most "happy as a clam" when atop a John Deere tractor or working in his garden wearing his ever-present suspenders and brown gloves. Those who knew him well can almost hear his characteristic farewell phrases, "let's get this road on the show" and "the bus is leaving "
Paul is survived by Kathleen, his beloved wife of 61 years; his children Barbara, Joanne, Karen, and Robert; and his grandchildren Jessica, William, Isabella, Lilliana, and Creighton. Though he has left this world, his spirit will continue to live on in the values he instilled in us and the cherished sayings we will undoubtedly continue to share.
