Paul Anthony Wernsman

Coach was one of my favorite people in high school! Fair, kind, compassionate and made us feel like we belonged!

I remember Coach was always fair, compassionate and a good leader.

I remember my first Metamora football game when I was 10. Paul was the fastest runner I had ever seen in person. Watching Paul and Larry in the backfield was amazing. To this day they are the greatest backfield MTHS ever had. Garber, Wernsman, and Sommer and my brother Brian were heroes to me back then. Paul I'm sorry you left us and I thank you for making we want to play sports as a kid.
