Paul Richard Wilson passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 36. Born on April 24, 1989, at Clark Air Base in Pampanga, Philippines, Paul was the beloved son of a proud military family. His childhood was shaped by travel and service, having lived in Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota; Andersen AFB, Guam; and McGuire AFB, New Jersey, before finally settling in Wasilla, AK – the place he would call home.
Paul was immensely proud of his Filipino heritage, embracing the culture through his love of cooking and connection to family traditions. He found joy in preparing meals that reflected his roots and sharing them with those he loved.
A man of many passions, Paul enjoyed weightlifting, music, working on cars, collecting shoes, and creating delicious meals. He was also known for his vibrant storytelling – always ready to share a memory filled with laughter and excitement. His charisma, strength, and warmth left an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Paul is survived by his loving mother, Emeliza Dizon Wilson, and his brother, Zachary Robert Wilson. He is preceded in death by his father, Marc Paul Wilson.
A service and reception to honor Paul's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11am-2pm at Janssen's Mat Su Funeral Home. 6901 E Blue Lupine Dr in Palmer. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the memory of a life lived with love, passion, and purpose.
