Paul Henry Woods

Paul Woods, 81, of Essex, Maryland passed away on August 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was the beloved husband of Gail, devoted father of Terri DeWald and her husband Jerry, Deb Soper and her husband Chris. Cherished grandfather of Kayla and Lydia. Beloved brother of Roberta Whitmore, Franklin Woods, and the late Richard Woods.

Paul was a proud veteran of the US Navy and served on the USS Essex Aircraft Carrier and saw active duty during the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Paul was passionate about the work he did as a Carpenter, Estimator, and Vice President of Wilhelm Commercial Builders, where he was named the first Model Employee when he retired.

Friends and family may call at the Bruzdzinski Funeral Home located at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD 21221, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, located at 10201 Bird River Road, Baltimore, MD 21220.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital in the memory of Paul H. Woods.
