Paula Cupp Obituary

Paula Jo Cupp, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 29, 1968, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Paula was a graduate of Lakota High School and carried within her a spirit that brought light and joy to everyone she encountered.

Paula's career was marked by her dedication, working both off and on at Bill's Donuts, as a Patient Aide for Willows Nursing Home in West Chester and serving many years as a Dialysis Technician. Those who knew her could always count on her kindness and infectious laughter that brightened even the darkest days. She had an exceptional ability to connect with people, always ready to lend an empathetic ear or be a shoulder to cry on.

Her personality was a beautiful tapestry of traits—she was kind, funny, boisterous at times, and so loving. Her forgiving soul made her stand out, and her family was her pride and joy. Paula adored her beloved husband, Thomas Cupp; her loving children, Nicole (Brian) Breezely, Michael (Laci) Jividen, Matthew Jividen, Aaron Cupp, Emily Cupp, and Mazie Cupp; they were indeed the light of her life. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her grandchildren, Isabel, Christian, Sebastian, Elijah, Penelope, Anika, Gabriel, Brayden, and Reese, who cherished every moment spent with their wonderful grandmother. She also leaves behind her siblings, Ginger (Thomas) Berg and David (Debe) Annis; alongside many other loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Nellie; her dear daughter, Erika Jividen; and her sister, Cathy.

Paula's hobbies reflected her zest for creativity; she loved spending time with her family, indulging in arts and crafts, especially around Christmas, when her artistic flair shone brightest. Conversations with her were a cherished experience, summed up perfectly by her signature farewell, “Welp, I've gotta go...” only to continue chatting for another hour. Paula’s spirit will undoubtedly thrive in the countless lives she touched.

A visitation to honor her life will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, both at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio.

She will be very missed but remembered with love and laughter, just as she would have wanted.
