(Nee Farrer)
Age 73, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago Heights, raised in Homewood, lived in Chicago Heights, Country Club Hills where she raised her family, and a resident of Lockport since 2001. Retired from Midwest Eye Professionals in 2022. She was a dedicated Insurance specialist, for Prudential, Illinois Bone and Joint, and registration manager at Saint James Hospital. Paula was always the life of the party, always teasing and joking around. She enjoyed camping in her younger years and had a great appreciation for the outdoors. She liked cooking and found so much joy in breaking bread with her family. She was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Aiden DiTola; and her parents, Fred and Doris (Nee Reils) Farrer.
Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jerry DiTola; two devoted sons, Tony (Mandy) DiTola, and Nicholas (Brita) DiTola; three adored grandchildren, Devin, Luciana, and Christian DiTola; one sister, Judy (Ken) Bross; and many cherished family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to TLC Animal Shelter, Homer Glen in Paula's name would be greatly appreciated.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 at 10:00am. Interment following service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
