Paula Frey

Paula L. Frey, 86, passed away on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and
Rehab in Chambersburg, PA.
Paula was born March 24,1938 to George and May Hazen in Canastota, NY. She graduated from
Canastota High School and attended Columbia Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina for two years.
She married Russell Havens in 1958, they were together for 22 years and raised three children, Lori,
Terri and Tim.
Paula worked as an Elementary School Teacher and for many years as an Executive Assistant.
Paula married John Frey in 1983 and together they raised Jeremy and Owned and Ran a Gift Shop and
sharing 35 Blessed years.John passed away in 2019.
She was a very active Member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Chambersburg. She was a Chalicer,
Homebound Eucharist Visitor and also organized Readers for each Service. She was also a Lay
Chaplain at the Chambersburg Hospital, She Loved to Serve!
Paula met her Loving Companion, Duane Bidlack at Trinity and shared the past 4 years until his sudden
passing in July 2024.
Surviving family include her Children, Lori Havens (Hank) of RI, Terri Shea of CT, Tim Havens (Tara) of
ME, and Jeremy Frey of AZ., Grandchildren, Brittany and Gabrielle Shea of CT and Great Grandson,
Finnian Dodge.
Paula is also survived by Brothers Bruce Hazen and Albert and Dennis Emanuele, preceded in death by
Siblings Lois Loguidice, Tina and Joseph Emanuele.
A Memorial Service will be held in May, date to be announced, at Trinity Episcopal.
