Paula Kay Gustafson

Paula Kay Gustafson, 62, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Stratford, Iowa, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jim Mead will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Stratford. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton has been entrusted with arrangements.

Paula Kay VanDePol was born on March 13, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Darrell Allen and Evelyn Ruth (Peck) VanDePol. She attended elementary school in Stratford and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Des Moines

Paula was previously married to Mark Gustafson. She lived in the Lake of the Ozarks area where she worked as the manager of the Dollar General Store in Laurie, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Marvin VanDePol.

Survivors include her boyfriend, Rob Ambuul of Sunrise Beach, MO; siblings, Dale (Ginger) VanDePol of Pleasant Hope, MO, Shirley (Chris) Bauer of Stratford, IA, Mark (Crystal) VanDePol of Sioux City, IA, and Mike (Bobbi) VanDePol of Gravois Mills, MO; many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
