Paula Rotan Harris, 57, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at 8:16 p.m. at Carle Health Methodist Hospital, after fiercely and courageously fighting Cancer.
Paula was a devoted mother to Jaclynn Harris, Samantha Harris, Robert Blade, and Jacob Pritchett, and a proud grandmother to sixteen grandchildren who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving siblings John, Sandra, Lynn, Sherry, Shelia, and TerryLynn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sandra and Jack, and by six siblings: Richie, Paul, Tina, Brian, Rick, and Bob. Paula had a heart that knew no bounds. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family-especially her grandchildren-and was known by many as the "neighborhood mom." She was always willing to lend a hand, share a meal, or offer a listening ear. Paula never met a stranger and was "Mom" to everyone who crossed her path. She dedicated several years of her life to helping others through her work with Lutheran Social Services, and by running "Aunt Paula's" home daycare, where she touched countless young lives with love and care.
Cremation has been arranged through Affordable Funeral and Cremation Services of Central Illinois, and a celebration of Paula's life will be announced at a later date.
Paula's warmth, laughter, and endless love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
