McCullough Funeral HomePaula Anne Jennings, 78, entered into rest on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Born in Cochran, Georgia, on November 11, 1947, Paula was the daughter of the late Milton and Louise Gallaher. A devoted educator, she spent more than three decades teaching at Parkwood Elementary School until her retirement.
Beyond her career, Paula cherished her role as a grandmother. A breast-cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience. Her presence was steady, honest, and straightforward.
She was an avid reader, puzzle-solver, and found joy in tending her garden.
Paula’s legacy lives on in the students she taught, the family she adored, and the many lives she brightened with her honesty, generosity, and grace.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Gallaher.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 45 years, Shelby Eugene Jennings of Warner Robins; children, Matthew Jennings (Rebecca) of Clayton, North Carolina, and Benjamin Jennings (Shauna) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Eloise and Gus Jennings, both of Clayton, North Carolina, and Hudson Jennings of Kathleen; sister, Mary Pat Halligan of Byron; brother, Terry Gallaher (Gayle) of Wilmington, North Carolina; nieces, Melanie Padgett of South Carolina, and Lynne Shealy-Allen of Raleigh, North Carolina.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
