It is with profound love and gratitude that we announce the peaceful passing of Paula, affectionately known as “Ita”, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Paula passed away peacefully in her home on June 22, 2025, at the age of 94 and a half, due to natural causes.

Born on January 26, 1931, in Moca, Puerto Rico, Paula was one of 13 siblings - the proud sister to 8 brothers and 4 sisters. Her roots in a large and loving family shaped the compassionate and generous spirit she carried throughout her life.

Ita raised four children with unwavering devotion, instilling in them the same values of love, faith, and resilience that she lived by. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, each of whom felt her boundless love, steady guidance, and gentle wisdom.

Known to all as kind-hearted and selfless, Ita had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued. Her warmth, her laugh, and her nurturing presence created a sense of home wherever she went. She was loved by all who knew her - family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we take comfort in the lasting imprint she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring love, and unshakable family bonds.

A private celebration of Ita’s life will be held with family and close friends. The family invites you to honor her memory by showing kindness to others - just as Ita did every day of her life.

She was, and always will be, deeply loved. Her spirit lives on in all of us.

Con profundo amor y gratitud, anunciamos el fallecimiento en paz de Paula, cariñosamente conocida como “Ita”, una madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana y amiga muy querida. Paula falleció tranquilamente en su hogar el 22 de junio de 2025, a la edad de 94 años y medio, por causas naturales.

Nacida el 26 de enero de 1931 en Moca, Puerto Rico, Paula fue una de 13 hermanos — la orgullosa hermana de 8 hermanos y 4 hermanas. Sus raíces en una familia numerosa y amorosa moldearon el espíritu compasivo y generoso que la acompañó a lo largo de su vida.

Ita crió a cuatro hijos con una devoción inquebrantable, inculcándoles los mismos valores de amor, fe y fortaleza que ella practicaba cada día. Su legado continúa a través de sus 15 nietos y 24 bisnietos, cada uno de los cuales sintió su amor infinito, su orientación constante y su sabia ternura.

Conocida por todos como una persona bondadosa y desinteresada, Ita tenía el don de hacer que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y valorados. Su calidez, su risa y su presencia maternal creaban un sentido de hogar dondequiera que estuviera. Fue amada por todos los que la conocieron — familia, amigos y vecinos por igual.

Aunque nuestros corazones duelen por su ausencia, encontramos consuelo en la huella duradera que deja. Su vida fue un testimonio de fortaleza silenciosa, amor eterno y lazos familiares inquebrantables.

Se llevará a cabo una celebración privada de la vida de Ita con familiares y amigos cercanos. La familia invita a honrar su memoria mostrando bondad hacia los demás — tal como lo hacía Ita todos los días de su vida.

Fue, y siempre será, profundamente amada. Su espíritu vive en todos nosotros.
