Paula Lee Ratermann

 

Paula Lee Ratermann, age 63, of Chandler, AZ formerly of Taylor Mill, KY and Huntington Beach, CA passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  She is survived by her mother, Nancy Ratermann (nee Yazell); sisters, Patricia “Lynn” Lambert (David) and Kim Schmidt (Jeff), as well as 1 niece, 4 nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews.  Paula was preceded in death by her father, Walter Ratermann in September 2023.  They named her Paula because Walter Paul realized after three girls, a son wasn’t likely.  Paula worshipped her father and so it was fitting that she not only carry his name, but be the last descendant to carry the family name Ratermann.  She was loyal and protective of her family and loved when they visited from Kentucky.  Having never met a stranger, her favorite past time was sitting on her back porch on hole #7 watching and talking to the golfers.  Paula was a generous soul that will truly be missed.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Patrick Church (Taylor Mill, KY) from 11:00am until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 12:00 noon.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following mass.
