Paula Eline Ryan

Paula Eline Ryan, age 75 of College Station Texas, passed to her heavenly home Friday evening, after a long respiratory illness on November 1st, 2025 at her nursing home residence.

She was born Paula Eline Gill, only daughter of J.L Gill and Eline Gill from Vicksburg Ms. Paula was preceded in death by her two sons William Ryan and Robert Rico and husband Robert Louis Rico.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of College Station Texas, Born in San Luis Obispo Ca,. on April 28th, 1950, she spent her childhood in both Mississippi and Arizona. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona and worked for many years as a dispatcher for both the Tucson and Houston Sheriff departments.

A long-time resident of Texas, Paula loved country music, Southern Hymnals and played the piano. She loved kids and her son, James and his friends always congregated around their house. Paula became a special eds teacher later in life which she felt was her true calling. Paula was known for her infectious laugh and sense of humor, and her love of her cats.

Paul is survived by her son James L. Rico, both a Knight of Columbus and ACTS coordinator at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station Tx. She will be missed and as she continues her heavenly worship with Jesus, may her light forever shine on her son, James.

The funeral service will be held at the church on November 19th, 2025 at 10 am, burial will follow at Mt. calvary Cemetery in Bryan Tx.
