Paula Stepp Obituary

Paula Francine Stepp, 67, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Montrose Health Center in Montrose.

Paula was born Sept. 30, 1957, in Keokuk, the daughter of Paul Francis and Gert Ellen (Hedrick) Blaise.

On Feb. 9, 1991, she was united in marriage with Charles Edward Stepp Jr. in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 2005.

Paula worked as a CNA, but will be most remembered for her work as a mother and homemaker. She loved her family dearly, and would help anyone she could. Paula was a unique character, known for her outspoken, spunky and hard-working personality, and her love of shooting pool and having a good time. Her favorite memories centered around holidays with her family.

Paula is survived by two daughters: Tonya Moss (Dawsin Fuller) and Kathern "Kat" Blakely, both of Keokuk; eight grandchildren: Summer, Selena, Shelby, Ajai, Lizzy, Tobie, Melissa, and Blaise; and her great-granddaughter Maddie Ray.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; son Toby; and sister Karen Huston.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
