Paula "Sue" Tompkins, a compassionate spirit whose laughter echoed in the hearts of all who knew her, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2025, at the age of 57 in Sherwood, Arkansas. Born on December 5, 1967, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Sue embraced life with an open heart and a deeply caring nature, qualities that defined everything she did—from her role as a devoted mother to her cherished career as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Crow Burlingame, where she contributed her talents for many years.

Sue's greatest joy came from her family. She was the proud mother of Kayla House (Dustin), Tiffany Armstrong, Trey Tompkins (Alexis), and Martiece Jordan. Each of her children brought her immense pride and happiness. Sue's love extended to her grandchildren, Lyric, Tristian, and Riley House, Landon Armstrong, Madison Jenkins, and Ayden Tompkins, who were often the sparkle in her eyes and the center of her world. She also held dear the bond with her beloved mother, Alice Ridgeway, and her sisters, Carla Larkey (Brad) and Allison Ridgeway.

Throughout her life, Sue was known for her big heart and tender personality. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. Her warmth and support were felt by many, whether they were close friends or colleagues. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her work family at Crow Burlingame, whose kindness and camaraderie sustained her over the years.

Sue found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid animal lover with a special talent for decorating for holidays, with Christmas being her favorite time of year. Her vibrant spirit not only made her home welcoming but also created a sense of joy in everything she did. At school events and ballgames, she was their biggest fan, never hesitating to cheer loudly—often to the embarrassment of her children, yet her enthusiasm always carried an undertone of warmth and love.

Sue's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew her. She was predeceased by her brother, Ricky Kent; her sister, Carol Bennett; and her beloved grandmother, Pearly Mae McDaniel. As we gather to remember her life—a life full of generosity, laughter, and unconditional love—we invite family and friends to join together at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM to honor and celebrate the life of Paula "Sue" Tompkins.

Though her journey here has ended, the love Sue shared with her family and friends will continue to inspire and resonate in their hearts. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
