Paulette Pickell went to her heavenly award on January 16, 2026. Paulette was born on February 23, 1946, in Isola, to W. D. Snyder and Flora Mae Donald Snyder.
Paulette was a caring person who loved her family and would help anybody who needed help She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni. She loved to take flowers to the sick and thought of this as her ministry to her Heavenly Father and church. Even though she spent the last several years in the nursing home, she felt like that was her home and she would talk to others there with and try to help out when she could. One thing you can say about Paulette is that she loved her big family and did her best to raise her children to be hard working and caring like her. Her life may have had some bumps and turns but she stayed focused on her faith and helping others.
She was preceded in death by her; parents; husband, Vardaman Pickell; daughter, Rita Hughes; sisters, Billie Jean Nelson, Nancy Donald, Bernice Snyder, Annice Chouccoli, Virginia Ann, Robinson, Brenda Keene, Francis Roland; brothers Danny Snyder, Butch Snyder, and Larry Snyder.
Left to cherish their fond memories of her are; sons: Bobby Marquis, Jason Pickell; grandchildren, Cameron Marquis, Sara Marquis, Cory Hughes, Hunter Hughes. and Annistyn Pickell, sister, Shelia Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Monday, January 19,2026, at First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 1 pm with Home Going services at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Caile Cemetery in Sunflower County where she will be laid to rest with other family members..
