Pauline Monica Bekebrede

Pauline Monica Rose Bekebrede, the daughter of Randolph William Jenkins and Elsie Mary Jenkins

(formerly Nash) was born on January 25, 1940 in Bristol, England.

Pauline lived her young life in Bristol, England until she was hired as a flight attendant by Pan

American World Airways in 1961. Over the course of her life-long career with Pan Am and Delta

Airlines, Pauline traveled all over the world. She was first stationed in New York and flew trips from

JFK Airport to many exciting cities like London, Rome, Paris, Beirut, and Moscow. In February of

1964, Pauline was the head stewardess on the flight that returned The Beatles to England after their

famous performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show". During a trip to Hong Kong in 1968, Pauline met

a handsome Pan Am pilot, the love of her life, and husband for over fifty years, Alfred Henry

Bekebrede, Jr. Pauline and Al were married in Bristol, England on February 27, 1971 and settled in

Davis, CA where they spent many happy years with family and friends from all over the world.

Wonderful hosts, Pauline and Al welcomed countless travelers to California and never failed to

provide marvelous memories.

Pauline passed peacefully during the early morning hours of Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was

comforted by her daughters and grandson during the final days and hours. She was cared for by truly

the sweetest, kindest, and most skilled of nurses at Deer Creek Memory Home in Paradise Valley

Estates, Fairfield, CA. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Penny and Matt Bussone of

Rocklin, and Julie and Dan Roll of Oakland; grandchildren Cristina, Sophia, Chasis, and Riley. She

was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfred.

A memorial service will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 640 Hawthorn Ln, Davis, CA at 3

p.m. on Sunday, November 23 followed by a reception at 4 p.m. in the St. Martin's Parish Hall.
