Pauline "Polly" Dyson English, 89, went peacefully to be with her Lord on October 28, 2022. She was born on September 4, 1933 in Colly, North Carolina, Bladen County, to the late Benjamin E. Dyson and Bessie Mears Dyson.
Polly grew up in White Lake, North Carolina. She was married to James Monroe English for 64 years before his death in 2020. She was a devoted "Navy wife" until James' retirement in 1974. She loved to laugh and make jokes with the family, especially the grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, James; daughter, Jackie S. McKeithan; and son Mark Allen English.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 10 AM, at the Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Irmo, SC, with a visitation immediately following for friends and family. A private family inurnment will be held afterwards at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
