Graveside services for Pauline May (Robertson) Jones, 84, of Gore, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at White Chapel Cemetery in Gore under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Pauline was born on Feb. 14, 1940, to Addie (Young) Robertson and Dwight Robertson and raised on Chicken Creek in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. She passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Vian.
She married Lee Ray Mayes and had three children. He preceded her in death. Later in life she married Cleatis Jones and they pastored the Gum Springs Community Church. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2022.
Pauline received her teaching degree from NSU and taught for many years. She loved being able to interact with the children. Pauline put all her faith in God and read her book daily. She prayed for every person she had ever met and said their name out loud. All she ever wanted was to see people succeed in life and to love God as much as herself.
Survivors are two sons, Mike Mayes and Tim Mayes both of Gore; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lee Ray Mayes; second husband, Cleatis Jones; her daughter, Theresa Noisey; two brothers, Gerald and Johnny; and two sisters, Norma and Pat.
Active pallbearers will be Shawn Mayes, Mike Mayes, Ethan Mayes, Dusty Mayes, Connor Mayes and Waylon Gilley.
Viewing is 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore. The family will greet from 6 to 8 p.m.
