Pauline Staples Newton was born on October 1, 1935, in Sharon, Massachusetts, the daughter of Percy and Lena Staples. She entered into rest on January 14, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 88. Pauline worked for many years as a preschool teacher for the Cerebral Palsy Centers in Neosho, Joplin, and Webb City. She was a caregiver, who loved taking care of others, especially her daughter, Dee, and other family. Pauline married Howard Newton and he preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Lea Ann Tyler and husband, Bob of Joplin and Dee Lynn Newton of Carl Junction, and a granddaughter, Tori Tyler and fiance', Kalyn Thompson. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Louise and Lillian. No services are planned at this time. Contributions in memory of Pauline may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Center of Tri-County Missouri, 1401 W. Austin St. Webb City, MO 64870.
