Pauline Schrum, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. She was a longtime resident of Bethany Village, where she spent the last seven years enjoying the company of friends and staff who cared for her deeply.
Born on November 5, 1931, Pauline was the daughter of the late Otto and Mary Elizabeth (Hartwell) Schrum. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ellen Krause and Betty Walters, and her brothers, Martin “Sonny” Schrum and Ralph Schrum.
Pauline is survived by her brother, James Schrum, and many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Pauline had a gentle and creative spirit. She found joy in simple pleasures: bingo, coloring, and arts and crafts brought her great happiness. She had a special fondness for her collection of necklaces and decorative brooches, which she wore proudly.
A visitation will be held for Pauline May 19th, 2025, at 11am with a funeral service to follow at 1pm Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East. She will laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
