Pearl was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a former member of the Red Hats and Williamson County Home Extension (The Joymakers).
Pearl was born October 24, 1931 in Metropolis, Illinois to Gus & Fay (Pullum) Rick.
Pearl married John A. Berra on September 22, 1955 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2005.
She is survived by her son, Tony Berra of Kirkwood, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Della Rick, Lily & John Fiacchino, Rose & Vincent Mangone, Nellie & Albert Douglas, and Rebecca Zonkle; and brothers, John Rick, Ernest Rick, Charles Rick, Gus Rick, Jr..
Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin, IL with Fr. Mark D. Reyling officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin, IL. Interment will be at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 316 West Monroe Street, Herrin, IL 62948; or to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 204 Halfway Road, Marion, IL, 62959; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
