Anna Marie Bongiovanni Obituary

Anna Marie (Passarella) Bongiovanni passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Anna Marie was predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Anthony and Anna Passarella and her two angel grandbabies. Anna Marie married the love of her life Frank A. Bongiovanni in 1963. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Thomas) Grunwald, and Maria (Robert) LaRocca. She has two granddaughters Gina and Cara Grunwald, and two grandsons Robert and Marc LaRocca; and a great-granddaughter Gianna LaRocca. She has two sisters Antoinette (Kenny) Smith and Nanette (Jeff) Houde; and her sister-in-law Maria (Mario) Bongiovanni. She also has numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Anna Marie lived in Atlantic City her whole life until she and Frank moved to Egg Harbor Township in 2008. She last resided in Spring Home at Galloway when her health started to fail. Anna Marie graduated from St. Michael's school in Atlantic City and Atlantic City High School. She was a life-long parishioner of St. Michael's church. Anna Marie retired from the City of Atlantic City as an administrative secretary after 25 years of service in 2004. Anna Marie devoted her life to her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren and grand pets. She will be forever remembered for her kind and gentle nature as well as her exceptional detail in her appearance. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at St. Michael's Church, 10 N. Mississippi Avenue, Atlantic City, N.J., from 10 to 11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
