Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Centerville ChapelPeggy Sue Bowers, born on April 18, 1964, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Peggy was a beloved figure known for her warmth, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends. She had an innate ability to light up any room with her infectious smile and heartfelt hugs. Her loved ones will forever cherish memories of her cooking, which brought everyone together, and her unmatched enthusiasm for decorating during the holiday season, particularly from Autumn through Christmas, which truly illuminated her world.
Peggy had a passion for travel, delighting in adventures to the ocean and the vibrant streets of New York, especially Central Park, where she found joy and inspiration. Her laughter echoed throughout her family's gatherings, creating an atmosphere of love and togetherness. She took particular pleasure in spending quality time with her grandchildren, Elliott and Julien Bowers, who brought her immense joy.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Robert Bowers; her sons, Chad (Amber) Bowers, Bobby Bowers, and Joey Bowers; her parents, Jim and Judy Henry; her sisters, Linda (Eric) Jordan, Lori (Tom) Socha, Donna (Scott) Evans, and Julie (Ben) Day; her brother, Bobby Henry; and numerous other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Gray; her grandmother, Dorotha Trout; her uncle Glenn Smith; her brother-in-law Chuck Reynolds; and her mother-in-law, Ann Bowers. Peggy's legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on October 21, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Centerville. A visitation will be held prior to service from 1 PM to 3 PM at the funeral home.
