Peggy Carnes Obituary
Ms. Carnes was born in Clinton to the late Furman Jonah Carnes, Sr. and Fonella Taylor Carnes. Peggy was a huge fan of Elvis and a collector of memorabilia from his career. She enjoyed shopping, travel, cooking, baking, and participating in Arts & Crafts. Peggy cherished being "Granny" to her grandchildren and others.
Surviving are a son, Furman Carnes; six grandchildren, Shandy Maloy, Chris Carnes, Jenna Garner with husband Parker, Taylor Maloy, Catherine Maloy Gutierrez with husband Sid, and Jordan Carnes; eight great-grandchildren, Amber, Kortney, Jade, Kolby, Noah, Olivia, Lucas, and Adeline; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deb Carnes Maloy.
To know her was to love her. An extended thank you for all who cared for her over the years.
