THIBODAUX, La. - Peggy Forrestier, 77, native of Paducah, Kentucky, and resident of Thibodaux, went home to the Lord on Dec. 9, 2025.
A memorial service and burial will be on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church 5940 State Route 70 west Central City, KY 42330 from 10-11 a.m. with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Peggy was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Mary Louise Kyle Newton and Bill Davis. Peggy led a fulfilling life, grounded in her faith in God and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Kenneth Newton; and brother, Carlos Sadler (Joann and Carol).
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Sidney Forrestier; sons, John Cherry (Sarah) and John Forrestier (Danielle); granddaughter Samantha LeCompte (Trevor, Sr) and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Trevor Jr.; brothers Larry Sadler (Sue) and Nolan (Summer) of Kentucky, and Marvin "Buddy" Holder (Carolyn) of California; and special individuals, Kelly Chauvin and Sarah Stanislav, whom she regarded as daughters, as well as step-grandchildren, Matthew and Elijah, and a multitude of cherished Christian friends.
We express our heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers from our families and our church family at Covenant Church, Houma, and Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Kentucky.
