Peggy C. Grigg
Peggy C Grigg, 78 years old, wife of Gene Grigg the past 63 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Valley Falls Terrace in Spartanburg. Peggy was born on March 4, 1946, in Spartanburg County, to the late Thomas W. Cooley, and her mother, Corine Abernathy Cooley who will turn 100 years old February 22, 2025. Peggy was a Registered Nurse in her working years and worked at various locales.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Jackie) of Lake Bowen, daughter, Joy Garner (Jon) of Cherokee Springs, sisters, Mary Moore (John) of Spartanburg, Tina Cantrell of Cherokee Springs, 4 grandchildren, Jordan (Luke) Grice, Caroline Garner, Sarah Garner, William Garner and great-grandchildren, Holden and Harlow Grice.
The Grigg family will greet friends on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel with Pastor Belton Drake of Cherokee Springs Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Falls Terrace activity fund, attention Temisha McClintock, 400 Locust Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, or, Spartanburg Regional Hospice Chaplain fund, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303
