Peggy Annette Kerley Holcomb, age 81 of Rockwood, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Holcomb, Sr.; parents, Evans and Laura Kerley; and brother, Joe Kerley. She is survived by her son Bobby L. Holcomb, Jr. (Angie); granddaughter, Dr. Victoria Holcomb Knott (Tanner); great-grandson, Beckham Knott, and stepson Bobby Harrison Holcomb. Also, survived by sisters Kathleen Dyer and Vickie Sue Brown; nieces and nephew.
Peggy was a faithful member of Caney Ford Baptist Church where she will be remembered for her many meals prepared and especially her delicious desserts and sourdough bread. Family and friends have such fond memories of her gardening, cooking and canning she so gladly shared. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm ET at the Caney Ford Baptist Church in Harriman, TN. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm ET with Pastor Fran Irmiter officiating. Following the service, there will be a soup luncheon in honor of Mrs. Peggy in the chuch family life center. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm ET in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Peggy A. Holcomb. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mrs. Holcomb’s memory to Caney Ford Baptist Church.
