Peggy Jean Hysinger

Graveside services for Peggy Hysinger will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at Preston Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Peggy Jean Mapes, daughter of the late Chester Dean and Rhoda May (Essex) Mapes, was born July 13, 1952, at Farry, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family June 26, 2025, at Oklahoma City, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 13 days.
Peggy grew up with her brothers and sisters at Farry where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to James Richard Hysinger and they celebrated 23 years together. She was a CNA for a few years before she became a truck driver. They have made their home in Woodward for the past 20 years.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Peggy enjoyed sewing,
arts and crafts, and her dogs.
Besides her parents, Chester and Rhoda, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Keeton and Roberta Story; one brother, Richard Mapes; one sister-in-law, Twyla Mapes; and two brothers-in-law, Ellie Welch and Wayne Keeton.
Peggy is survived by her husband, James, of Woodward; her son Dale Wayne Blagburn of Woodward; her daughter, Rhoda June Esco of Woodward; her brothers, Ronnie Mapes and wife, Peggy, of Alva, and Bob Mapes of Colorado; her sister, Rose Welch of Wichita; three grandchildren, Parker Dale Blagburn of Montpelier, North Dakota, Victoria Marie Biffle and husband, Aden, of Woodward, and Christina Jo Calvillo and Aaron Pond of Woodward; and three great grandchildren, Callen Hoover, Ellie Pond, and Daxten Pond; and other relatives and friends.
