Peggy Jackson Obituary
Peggy Aileen Jackson passed away August 22, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born November 17, 1946 to the late Ernest Jackson and Bernice Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Oneal Sheffield; son, Chester Wayne Sheffield, Sr. brothers, Ray Jackson and Joseph Allen Jackson; brother-in-law, Bubba Hollingshead.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice (Ricky) East and Betty Compton (Chris Smith); daughter-in-law, Gloria Sheffield; grandchildren, Patrick (Haley) East, Jr., Brady East, Ashley (Scott) Bridgman, Cameron Compton, Chester Wayne Sheffield, Jr., Krystal (Daniel) Vice, Joshua (Susan) Sheffield and Aaron Sheffield; great-grandchildren, Gracen East, James East, Kaydin Bridgman, Isabelle Bridgman, Granger Bridgman, Layla Bridgman, Marina Sheffield, Sophia Vice, Caden Vice, Blake Sheffield and Brantley Sheffield; sister, Earnestine Hollingshead and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Paul East officiating. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Ricky East, Chris Smith, Terry East, Jeff Miller, Patrick East, Cameron Compton, Chester Wayne Sheffield, Jr. and Josh Sheffield.
