Peggy Kobe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Midlothian Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
Peggy Harriett Kobe, born Peggy Franklin on December 22, 1939, in the heart of Nashville, TN, lived a life that was as adventurous and vibrant as she was. A woman of many talents and interests, Peggy was a creative soul who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her life was a testament to her faith and love for God, as she embodied the scripture, "Let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14). Her devout Christian life began in her hometown of Gallatin, TN, and continued at Midlothian Methodist Church in Texas, where she resided.

Peggy's life was filled with excitement and adventure. She began her career as a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. She relished the opportunity to meet many movie stars aboard her flights, each encounter adding a dash of glamour to her life's story. Peggy was also an avid reader, often seen engrossed in her hometown newspaper, keeping in touch with the place and people she loved dearly from her childhood. Her creativity knew no bounds; from cross-stitching and glass art to designing seashells and taking breathtaking wildlife photography. Peggy's home was a canvas, beautifully adorned with pictures from her and her beloved husband Gerard's adventures.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love story with Gerard was one for the ages, their life together filled with joy and unforgettable moments. Their adventures took them around the world, photographing wildlife and making memories that Peggy loved to share. Together they raised two children, John and Caroline, who brought further joy into their lives with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Gerard Kobe, and her parents, John and Margarita Franklin.

Peggy Kobe's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, creativity, and adventure. Her memories will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who were fortunate to have known her. We encourage friends and loved ones to visit Peggy's memorial page, where you can share your memories and upload photos that celebrate the extraordinary life she lived.
