Peggy Sue McGee, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024. We, her loving family, celebrate that she is now in the presence of her Lord, whom she loved and served throughout her life. Peggy was born to Lonnie and Vera McGee on March 24, 1939. She was a faithful member of Life Church at Ardsley Park. She loved her church and served there in many capacities. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, vacation bible school teacher, youth leader, driver, cook, secretary, treasurer, nursery helper and many times one of the "clean-up" crew. Her youth class always asked for her delicious brownies and she always made them. Her 40 year career with Southern Bell ended in 1997 with her retirement. Her work ethic was only one of her many honorable traits. She valued her years with Southern Bell and enjoyed keeping in touch with many of the friends she made there. We list below her brothers and sisters some here, some in heaven: Steve and Alice McGee, Sondra and Walter Evans, Linda and Don Weeks, Trudi and Lynn Howard, Becky Murphy, Wanda and Randy McCarty, Chris and Malinda McGee. From these brothers and sisters, she had 13 nieces and nephews, and now, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her abiding love and devotion was a treasure to us all. Because of our love for Jesus, we'll all be together again one day. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Life Church at Ardsley Park, 3802 Bull Street in Savannah.

January 18, 2024

To the family of Peggy,

Both my husband, Phillip, and I worked with Peggy over many years at BellSouth (Southern Bell, AT&T). Peggy was always a kind, conscientious person, with a multitude of patience for some of us. She was a wonderful person, and with deep religious convictions.

Peggy, you were a light in this world, and will definitely be missed! Until we meet again...
