Peggy Joan Plafcan 86, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff. She was born in Bentonville, MO, on April 4, 1936, to parents Elisha "Cecil" and Nettie "Thelma" (King) Logsden.
Peggy learned to paint by trial and error and painted landscape paintings with acrylics. She loved writing poetry, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved all flowers. Peggy was a Piedmont high school graduate and attended Shady Nook Missionary Baptist Church for over ten years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Peggy will be missed as a dear companion of daughter Shelly.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Stanley E. Plafcan; siblings: Jaquie Eaton and Frank Logsden.
Peggy is survived by her children: Vivian Ruble and husband Richard of Piedmont, Randall Roberts and wife Michelle of Lake of the Ozarks, Russell Roberts and wife Janet of St. Louis, Shelly Lagermann and husband Mark of Piedmont; grandchildren: Jason Ruble and wife Christy, Sarah Ruble and husband Alain, Laura Ruble, Julie Ruble, Clarity Ameranthine, Bonnie Callahan, Daniel Roberts, Kelsey Roberts, Anna Roberts, Dale Wilson, Hannah Lagermann, Sarah Lagermann, Michael Lagermann; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Oliva, Caleb, Mae, Devin, Drew, Alex, Charlie, Evie, Irie, Cooper, Elliott, Lillianna, Willow, Gabriel, and Mason; sister, Linda Houts and husband Bill of Cedar Hill, MO. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Pete Ruble ministered to the family. Dale Wilson, Jason Ruble, Devon Roberts, Dan Roberts, Chad Calahan, Brian Houts, and Mike Matern served as pallbearers. Burial was in Clay Cemetery, Piedmont.
