Peggy Sue Pool, age 82, of Buchanan, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Patriot Health and Rehabilitation Center of Paris. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. Robert McBroom of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in New Liberty Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family is scheduled on Wednesday, after 11:00 A.M. until time of service at McEvoy.
Peggy Sue Pool was born, February 3, 1943, in Covington, Tennessee, to the late W.T. Marbury and the late Ada Manley Marbury. She married Billy Pool on October 7, 1967 and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2024. Peggy is also survived by her daughters, Debbie (John) Belcher of Buchanan and Rhonda Sue (Riley) Burns of Atoka, TN; grandchildren, Amy Mancell, Christina Halleron, Anthony Belcher, Ashley Fish, Alyssa Belcher, and Alivia Belcher; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, J.T. Marbury of Memphis, Richard (Mary) Marbury of Mason, TN and Jerry (Barbara) Marbury of Denmark, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Pool is also preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Drawdy and her sister, Betty Morgan.
Mrs. Pool was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church and she formerly worked as an over-the-road truck driver. Peggy enjoyed gardening, time spent with her Lord and her family but most especially time with her grandchildren.
