Peggy E. Ruth

Peggy E. Ruth of Hatfield passed away on Thursday March 12, 2026. She was 81. She was the loving wife of the late Jack R. Ruth. Happily married for the last 61 years.

Born February 5, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Joseph Wentzel and Dorothy Elizabeth Hollowell.

Peggy spent 18 years as a school bus driver in the North Penn School District. Peggy loved spending time with her grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, getting her hair and nails done and traveling. Peggy was a long-time member of Open Bible Church in Lansdale and then attended Fairway Christian Church in The Villages, FL.

Peggy often said "my 3 girls are my world". She is survived by her three granddaughters, Amanda (Robert), Carly (Kristhian), and Rachel (Andrew) and grandson, Ryan and 5 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Adrianna, Amelia, Olivia and Rylee. She is also survived by her sister Joann. She is proceeded in death by her sisters Betty, Joyce, as well as her brother Robert.

The family will receive friends Wednesday March 18, 2026, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446 starting at 1:30 pm. Celebration of Life Services will begin at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.
