The family of Peggy Lynn Pigmon Sparks of Aberdeen, Ohio, is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, March 27, at the age of 64.
Peggy and her loving husband, Ty, were married on May 17, 1980. Unto this loving union was born in 1986, their pride and joy, a daughter, whom they named Holly.
Peggy was born on July 15, 1961 in Letcher County, Kentucky to Norman Freelan Pigmon and Barbara Sloan Pigmon. Peggy loved her mother dearly and it is from whom Peggy inherited her strong work ethic, by example. Peggy’s family, for generations, was born and raised in Letcher County, Kentucky.
Peggy, was a 1979 graduate of Maysville High School. Among her places of employment were Jim’s Donut Shop, where she was dependable, reliable, efficient, well liked and, willing to accept capably, any responsibility. She was also employed by Mason County Schools Food Services.
Peggy was very passionate about the care of animals and their needs being met. She and her family had many dogs as pets over the years, looked after neighborhood cats, and just recently, after the death of her beloved dog, Buddy, she adopted a cat, Cleo, This was a first for their family, however, Peggy accepted the responsibility wholeheartedly.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cullen Pigmon and Lille Pigmon, maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Edith Sloan, William (Bill) Sparks, father-in- law, a sister-in-law Kathy Roe Pigmon, and several aunts, uncles, a nephew, and a special friend, Teresa Rice McWilliams.
Peggy is survived, in addition to her husband, Ty, and daughter, Holly, both of whom, were her dearest and best friends, two brothers, Terry and Tommy (Mary Jo) Pigmon, a sister, Vonda Pigmon Fields, mother-in-law, Mary Fizer Sparks, sister-in-law, Christi Sparks Pitakis (Nick) and several nieces and nephews. Peggy also leaves behind close friends, Bernice Jackson, Carole Leet, Jenny Wilson Rutherford and, Sherry Rice.
As per her request, Peggy will be cremated. Private graveside services will held at the convenience of the family.
Individuals, in her honor, may make donations to the Brown County Humane Society Dog Shelter, Georgetown, Ohio, 45712.
