Peggy Stone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Bayview Chapel on Nov. 5, 2024.
Peggy Sue Austin Stone passed away peacefully in Anacortes, WA, on November 1, 2024. Peggy was born on November 17, 1932, in Monticello, Alabama, to Bernie and Evelyn Austin.
Peggy graduated from Troy State Teachers College and spent her career as a teacher in the Bellingham School District. She married Kenneth Stone on July 17, 1954, and together they had three children: Debbie, Jennifer, and Ken Jr. Kenneth passed away on January 15, 2011.
Peggy loved the "three C's": cooking, camping, and cards. She had a special and unique sense of humor, a warm personality, and that good ol' southern hospitality. But what Peggy truly valued was time spent with her family. She cherished one on one times with her family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her children, Debbie Fisher, Jennifer "Jo" Huge (Bruce), and Kenneth Stone Jr. (Phyllis); her brothers, Butch Austin and Danny Austin; and her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; her parents, Bernie and Evelyn "Beebe" Austin; and her brothers, Bob Austin, Frank Austin, and Max Austin.
