Peggy Ann Swatman

Peggy Ann Swatman, age 82, of Greenbrier, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024 at Southern Hills Medical Center, Nashville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral in Greenbrier with Brother Jeff Fryer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery, with John Alan Bishop, Trever Harris, Heath Thornhill, Andrew Thornhill, Logan Dorris, and Dylan Dorris serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4pm until 7pm and then Wednesday from 10am until hour of service at 12pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Swatman was born July 21, 1942 in Ridgetop, Tennessee to John and Bessie Dickens Callis. She worked for Kroger Health and Beauty Aid Warehouse on Elm Hill Pike for 15 years. She finally retired from Vine Hill Women's Clinic as an Office Manager.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swatman was preceded in death by her siblings, Forde Callis, Lorene Lusten, Margaret Edging, Billie Sue Adcock, Lillian Lambert, Glenn Callis, Francis Davis, Olie Callis Bobby Callis, Nolan Callis, Vernon Callis and Dennis Callis.
Mrs. Swatman is survived, by sons; Lloyd Bishop and Shannon (Christy Williams-Swatman) Swatman and; sister, Joyce Ellis.
