Peggy Ann Taft

Peggy passed away unexpectedly at her home on the morning of January 18, 2023. Born on May 30, 1955, to Robert (Bob) & Lois (Patrick) Hersberger. She was raised on a farm where she helped Bob and Lois and her sisters milk cows, farm, and there her passion for horses began. At a young age she learned to ride. She entered many competitions and won many awards for being great at what she loved.
Peggy gave birth to two daughters, Dodi Vanskyock in 1974 and Amber Bertram in 1979. Peggy worked many years as a waitress and a bartender, as well as a Home Interior distributor. She was always quick to lend a hand to others! She was a very kind, caring, and intelligent woman who loved all those around her.
She leaves behind her closest, loving relatives. Her mother, Lois Hersberger. Daughter, Dodi (Kevin) Vanskyock. Grandchildren, Kenna Kahlig and Kaegan Kahlig. Sisters, Sally Hollowell and Susie Hollowell. Two nieces, two great nieces, a nephew, and a great nephew. One great aunt and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Hersberger (July, 2022) and her daughter, Amber Bertram (1981).
May eternal rest be granted to her soul and may Peggy rest in peace.
A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 with Pastor Zach Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
