Peggy L. Taylor, age 90 of Port Huron, passed away on May 2, 2025 in the Blue Water Hospice Home, after a short illness. She was born on November 2, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Clair and Lela Gayfield.
Peggy enjoyed visits from family and friends, lunches down at the river's edge and rides through town, reminiscing. During her life she was a very active and never missed a golf day, bingo, bowling or lunches with her high school friends, they were fondly called "Club". She also volunteered at the Food Depot. She was everyone's "best friend" and was well loved.
She is survived by her children; Julie (Jim) Horning, Wendy L. Taylor, Joseph A. Taylor and Daniel B. (Karen) Taylor, grandchildren; Heather Rivard, Jason (Ashlee) Taylor, Kathleen (D'artangnon Stephens) Horning, Samantha Horning, Jeremy (Kate) Horning, Jake (Becca) Taylor, Lauren (Carl Snyder) Taylor, Sierra Taylor, Alexandrea (James) Lawson, and Isabella Rodriquez, and thirteen wonderful great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lee Taylor, stepfather, Harold Conquergood, and brothers; Carl, Bruce, Orville and Donnie Gayfield.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday – May 6, 2025 at 1:00pm in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron. Minister Shaun Laurain will officiate. The burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The visiting hours will be from 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm.
Memorial tributes can be made to – Blue Water Hospice Home.
